Synopsis

The best show you're not watching is CBS' Hawaii Five-O. The show is a reboot of the original Five-O series that aired in the 1960s. It stars Alex O'Loughlin, Scott Caan, former Lost star Daniel Dae Kim and Battlestar Galactica alum Grace Park. This show combines aspects of the old Five-O with new elements in this series. For example, the new show revolves around Steve McGarrett, son and namesake of the original show's protagonist. The Navy officer and former Navy Seal has come to Hawaii to investigate the mysterious death of his father. On the island, he is in hot pursuit of Wo-Fat, chief suspect in his father's murder (older viewers will recognize Wo-Fat because he was the elder McGarrett's nemesis in the first series). It is during this time that McGarrett is recruited by the governor of Hawaii to head a special task force to handle those crimes that are too difficult for Hawaii's police departments.
